The Women's Show
“Women," an annual exhibition that honors and celebrates women, is now accepting art and performance submissions. Expressed through the vision of female artists, the exhibition commemorates women through various mediums and themes displaying their gifts, strengths and talents. 7500 Miles: An Intimate Turn
Iran today is home to the most renowned Middle Eastern artists. Iranian artists such as, Shirin Neshat, Bahman Mohasses, Abbas Kiarostami, Monir Farmanfarmaian, Farhad Moshiri, and Parviz Tanavoli. They, however, either live in the diaspora or have enjoyed an international reputation prior to the revolution. A vibrant new generation of contemporary artists born after the 1979 Islamic Revolution have searched for a visual language to tell their story of growing up as women in contemporary Iran.
